As Japan’s Coronavirus woes continue, yet one more of the many anime has been affected. This time, it’s one of 2020’s most anticipated anime, and it’s Re:Zero Season 2. The staff have announced that the COVID-19 global outbreak has had a “big effect on the production”.





Instead of its planned April airing, the new season will instead air starting July 2020, during the summer 2020 season. The staff also revealed that they will announce the new premiere date, time, and other details in the days to come.
As for the anime itself, they are currently airing the Director’s Cut version of the first season. This was supposed to be as part of the lead up towards the second season. They also revealed that Konomi Suzuki is the one performing the second season’s new OP song. As for its ED, the staff also announced that nonoc will be the one performing it.
Well, let us all be understanding as the Coronavirus is a global threat, and the delay is for the safety of the staff.
